THE LEADING EDGE GUITAR ENSEMBLE AND THE PLECTRA GUITAR ENSEMBLE (W.A.)
The MCM’s Leading Edge Guitar Ensemble joins forces with the Plectra from the Western Australia Academy of the Performing Arts for a guitar ensemble extravaganza! Music by Steve Reich, Hermeto Pascoal, Christian O’Brien, Paulo Bellinati, Paul Carey, David Pritchard, Jürg Kindle, Azariah Felton, Abbey Bradstreet, Marian Budoš and Duncan Gardiner

GERARD MAPSTONE PLAYS FLAMENCO DESPERTARES
Tapping into the past and present of the flamenco world Gerard Mapstone is among the most evocative and dynamic guitarists touring today. His new work Despertares (Awakening) is the reformulation of his own knowledge of flamenco in which research and experimentation are the bases to create a genuine music, a music that flows beyond the labels, stripped of all superfluous adornment.
